The reunion begins with laughter, hugs, and the joy of reconnecting with former classmates and friends after decades apart! Savor an evening of conversation, stories, and shared memories—the perfect way to ease into our Hill Country celebration.

Location: The Cypress Room at Fredericksburg Inn & Suites — an indoor-outdoor setting that opens to Adirondack chairs beneath the stars around cozy fire pits, an outdoor fireplace with cushioned lounge seating, and a larger wrought-iron gathering space designed for relaxed conversation and easy reconnection.

Attire: Mardi Gras–inspired, from subtly celebratory to playfully bold — with an easy Hill Country sensibility that `keeps the evening stylish and relaxed.

Bites & Beverages: The hors d’oeuvres buffet will showcase Sabores Venezolanos, bringing back the unmistakable tastes and spirit of Maracaibo. Designed as a relaxed culinary centerpiece for the evening, the menu will feature a variety of savory bites inspired by the flavors we remember. This is a BYOB reception; setups including Coke, Diet Coke, ginger ale, and bottled water will be provided.

Hill Country Wine Tour

Spend the day savoring the best of Texas wine country — rolling vineyard views, sunlit patios, and stories that grow richer with every pour.

Board a private bus for a scenic journey to four premier wineries thoughtfully selected by Jeff. Each stop has its own distinctive charm, from refined tasting rooms to picturesque vineyards. Culinary offerings will be available for purchase — from tableside service to food truck fare — perfectly complementing the wines of the day.

Evening Gathering
Come & Go Until 9:00pm

Dinner on your own, then settle in for a relaxed evening at Elk Store Winery & Distillery — an inviting lounge filled with sofas, love seats, and oversized chairs that make lingering easy. Soft jazz sets the tone while fine wines, craft spirits, and cocktails are available for individual purchase, creating an effortlessly stylish space to unwind, reconnect, and simply enjoy being together.

Wine Country at Your Pace

Explore Fredericksburg

Today is yours. Stroll Main Street. Discover tucked-away tasting rooms. Visit the renowned National Museum of the Pacific War. Venture out to scenic wineries. Shop, sip, wander, repeat. There is no wrong way to enjoy Fredericksburg.

Evening Rendezvous

Dinner will be on your own, offering another perfect opportunity to explore the renowned local culinary scene.

After dinner, stroll on over to Maggie’s in the Emigrant Boutique Hotel — a speakeasy-inspired basement lounge for craft cocktails, conversation, and a lively atmosphere. Maggie’s is open from 6:00pm until midnight. When live music begins at 7:00pm, guests seeking a quieter setting can move upstairs to the elegant Lobby Bar, where the same cocktails are served in a relaxed, refined space until 10:00pm.

For a change of vibe, mosey down to Crossroads Saloon & Steakhouse. Enjoy live music, dancing, and the atmosphere of a true Texas evening. Boots are encouraged and good spirits guaranteed. Crossroads closes at 11:00pm.

Before heading home, join classmates for a relaxed farewell breakfast at the Airport Diner, located next to the Hangar Hotel at the Gillespie County Airport. Step back in time in this classic 1940s-style diner, where you can enjoy pancakes, omelets, and other breakfast favorites while watching planes take off and land just outside the windows. The diner is known for its nostalgic atmosphere, old-time diner menu, and famous shakes and malts made with locally made ice cream.

This is a casual, come-and-go gathering — stay for a quick cup of coffee or linger over breakfast and one last visit with friends before departing Fredericksburg.

Hilltop Reflections

Gather some friends and consider a visit to the stunning Coming King Sculpture Prayer Garden to see the iconic Empty Cross and other sculptures. Take in the sweeping Hill Country views just outside Kerrville, about 30 minutes from the hotel. A peaceful close to a memorable reunion.

Luckenbach & Legends

Just 15 minutes from Fredericksburg is the tiny town of Luckenbach, Texas made famous by Waylon Jennings’ classic song. Home to a rustic general store, historic dancehall, and a shaded outdoor stage, it’s simple, laid-back, and proudly unpolished. Live music is typically offered daily at 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM, with occasional evening appearances by notable artists. Weather & Style Guide

Late February in Fredericksburg brings that sweet spot of Hill Country weather—comfortable days, cool evenings, and plenty of sunshine to enjoy it all. Expect daytime temperatures in the 60s to low 70s, with evenings dipping into the 40s, so a light jacket or sweater will come in handy after sunset.

With such inviting weather—and everything just steps away from Fredericksburg Inn & Suites, only one block off Main Street—it’s the perfect opportunity to get outside. Gather with friends, both familiar faces and new ones, and take an easy stroll over to Main Street to explore its charming shops, inviting restaurants, lively nightlife, and all the little discoveries in between.
