While we continue to explore shared shuttle options for airport transfers, the rates we’ve found so far are quite high. Renting a vehicle typically offers a savings of 50% or more compared to a private shuttle between the airport and Fredericksburg.
That said, once you arrive, you may find that a rental car isn’t needed very often. Our reunion hotel is located within just a few blocks of many of Fredericksburg’s restaurants, cafés, and shops, so most guests will likely spend much of the reunion on foot while their rental vehicle remains parked.
If you are interested in sharing an airport shuttle with others, please send your arrival and departure flight information to BonnieLWinkler@gmail.com. We will do our best to connect guests with similar flight times who may wish to share transportation and divide the cost.
Fredericksburg is a very walkable town, especially around Main Street, where many shops, restaurants, and tasting rooms are located. Our reunion hotel is just one block from Main Street, so most guests will find that they can easily walk to restaurants and shops during free time.
Parking on Main Street can be limited, especially during the day and early evening, as Fredericksburg is a very popular destination for day-trippers. However, many visitors leave town after dinner, and parking often becomes easier later at night. If you arrive somewhere and parking looks difficult, it is often easier to return later or simply walk from the hotel.
Reunion venues were specifically selected due to their proximity to the hotel. For destinations a bit farther away, ride services such as Uber and Lyft are available, though they can be limited later in the evening.
If you're commuting from nearby, feel free to park at the hotel; otherwise, if you find a good parking spot on Main Street, you may want to keep it and walk to several places rather than moving your car.
